I am new patient of Dr. Barrett's and I highly reccomend him to anyone looking for a doctor that actually takes his time to treat you and truly get to know you. He didn't rush through the exam, which is a practice lost on 9/10 doctors out there today. He prescribed me with the right medicines to accurately treat my diagnosis. I am 6 months pregnant and he made sure tailor my care to exactly what i needed. He also made me feel sane unlike most drs. I had questions about problems bothering me that i wasn't initially there for, and he didn't mind treating my other medical issues one bit. He is experienced and very knowledgable. He truly loves taking care of his patients!
I've never called this office until today. I moved to Ardmore about 1.5 years ago. I called and ask if they were taking new patients and the lady said, tell me all your medicines and insurance, so I did. She said this is how this doctor determines if he will take you as a new patient. She called back and informed me that the doctor didn't think he could help me. What the crap? Was it my insurance, BCBS because it sure wasn't because I take pain pills, just general meds. I hope this so called MD needs a doctor one day and this happens to him. He doesn't know me. At least I was warned. What a jerk. He doesn't know me. Little does he know, I'm a nurse and in the health profession too.
When I got to his office i thought i would be in and out quick, because there where only 3 people ahead of me. I sat in the waiting room for two hours and when he finally walked in the room...He did nothing but look down my throat. He didn't listen to my heart and lungs, ask me what all was wrong with me...nothing!! 2 hours of waiting = 2 minutes with the doctor. I don't think soooooo....
Dr. Barrett has been taking care of my parents for many years. Once I got to the age I could no longer attend my pediatric doctor, becoming a patient of Dr. Barrett was an obvious choice. He is an honest, caring, and knowledgeable doctor. He takes time to get to know each of his patients because he truly cares about their well being. He has always taken excellent care of my parents and myself. Every time I've been sick (including today), he accurately diagnosed me and provides me with the best treatment. I highly recommend him and his entire staff!
It is now a WEEK later and I am going to another doctor, because I am still sick!! Terrible Doctor!!
